Cloud labs and remote research aren’t the future of science – they’re here

A year’s access to a cloud lab costs less than the price of one piece of high-end lab equipment. New developments mean that anybody can conduct experiments by remote control cheaply and efficiently, using nothing more than their web browser. So is the rise of robot researchers now inevitable?
